Jim Patterson
Chief Financial Officer
Jim Patterson brings over three decades of leadership experience in the Insurance and Financial Services industry to his role as Chief Financial Officer at Ginkgo-AI. His career began with Allstate Insurance in Roanoke, Virginia, in 1985 and quickly advanced through a series of strategic roles, including Field Operations Manager at Allstate’s Northbrook, Illinois, headquarters and Regional Office Leader in Farmingville, New York. He later returned to Virginia to oversee Allstate Indemnity operations across six states before serving as Regional Sales Manager for Southwest Virginia, where he led a network of 40 captive property and casualty agencies and five financial specialists. Jim’s broad industry knowledge is backed by extensive credentials, including FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 26, 63, and 51 certifications, enabling him to operate effectively across both insurance and investment domains.
Jim continued his executive journey with AXA and MetLife, where he served as Managing Sales Director across offices in Roanoke, Harrisonburg, and Fredericksburg. After the 2016 acquisition of MetLife by MassMutual, he remained in a leadership role until joining National Financial Services, Inc. in 2017. A native of Pulaski, Virginia, and a graduate of the University of Richmond, Jim is deeply engaged in his community, participating in organizations such as the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce, NAIFA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He resides in Roanoke County with his wife Jeanie and their seven children: Chelsea, Robby, Kara, Alex, Ryan, Taylor, and Rachel.
